So and what do we have here on a hot sunny day in the Netherlands. It is fine yellow flower standing there with a little sister behind in the green fields of the garden and it is called Hemerocallis. A day lily and why it has a sort of nickname 'Bitsy' is for me not clear. Maybe because it is a small plant with 40-50cm high? A search with Google results in 3.670.000 hits for the word Hemerocallis. Then you can better stop searching and enjoy your own gardeners world.
Vandaag met 28 graden op de thermometer een gele dag lelie op de foto. Beetje alleen in de tuin ondanks een klein zusje op de rug. Op het randje van de tuin zoals ook beschreven op de website van Appeltern met de fraaie planten encyclopedie. Deze staat stevig daar en geeft al maanden een geel bloementje. Ofwel trekt zich van niemand wat aan.
